Who is this journey for? It is for those who want to see the stunning scenery at both Chitwan National Park and Pokhara in Nepal.  This is a great extension for those traveling to Tibet or Bhutan.

This 6 day journey, which can be customized to suit you, is perfect for those wanting to see Chitwan and Pokhara, 2 of the main sites in Nepal. After spending a night in Kathmandu, you will make the short 15 minute flight to Chitwan National Park where you will spend 2 days doing a wildlife safari. While there, you can see rhinos, crocodiles, deer, monkeys and even tigers! From Chitwan, you will then take another short flight to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. You will spend 2 days (1 night) seeing the main sites in and around Pokhara, including Fewa Lake, the sunrise on the Himalaya Mountains at Sarangkot, the Peace Stupa and stroll along the lake. Your journey will conclude with a final short flight back to Kathmandu.

6 Day Chitwan National Park and Pokhara Tour

NOTE: This itinerary can be customized and modified to suit you

Day 1: Kathmandu, Nepal

Arrive in Kathmandu. Check into a centrally located hotel. Free day to explore Thamel district on your own.

Day 2: Chitwan National Park

Fly from Kathmandu to Chitwan. This is the start of the jungle safari package. The jungle safari package includes activities such as a jungle walk, local cultural dances, village walk, visit the crocodile and elephant breeding center,  Jeep safari, canoe ride and birdwatching. You will have a good river view property to stay at and enjoy the excellent sunsets with occasional sightings of crocodiles, rhinos and many types of birds.

Day 3: Chitwan National Park

Jungle safari package continued this day. (The safari activities can be in different order depending on the local naturalists and weather conditions)

Day 4: Pokhara

Fly from Chitwan to Pokhara. Pokhara boasts the stunning views of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountain peaks in the Himalaya Range. In the afternoon, you will drive up to the World Peace Stupa and enjoy the panoramic views of the Pokhara valley with the mountains towards the north. Then, you will return back to your hotel and explore the  lakeside area on your own. You can also rent a boat and driver to explore the lake.  In the Lakeside District of Pokhara, there are lots of handicraft shops and restaurants you can try.

Day 5: Pokhara and Kathmandu

Early morning you will drive up to the Sarangkot Hill to view the sunrise. You will have a great sunrise over the Annapurna and Fishtail peaks of the Himalayas. Then, you will return back to your hotel for breakfast. Sometime around noon, you will fly back to Kathmandu. You can then explore the famous Thamel District on your own.

Day 6: Depart

Final transfer to the airport for departure.

6 Day Chitwan National Park and Pokhara Tour

Our 6 day Chitwan and Pokhara Tour can be done anytime of year. The best (driest) months to do this journey are from January through May and October through December.

Travel Gear: Upon joining, each participant will be sent a list of required and recommended gear for this journey that they will be responsible for.

Accommodations: During this journey you will stay in pleasant 3 and 4 star accommodations. If you wish to upgrade to 5 star hotels, we can do that as well.

Meals: Breakfast is included in the price for each morning you are in Nepal. Lunch and dinner are not included in the price.

Eligibility: Participants must be in good health and be able to spend each day walking around towns, villages and monasteries. No trekking is required for this journey. None of this journey takes place at high altitude.
